Residents and team members at Kingsmere Retirement Residence in Alliston, ON, spent the summer caring for two monarch caterpillars.
They watched in awe as the caterpillars transitioned over several weeks into two beautiful butterflies. Residents gathered on the patio recently to release the monarchs and wish them a safe journey to Mexico.
“Everyone has enjoyed watching the caterpillars transform through the stages into beautiful monarch butterflies,” said Laura Menard, lifestyle consultant at Kingsmere.
